4 Ingredient Peach Sorbet (1)

Helllooooo summer and fresh summer peaches! This 4 Ingredient Peach Sorbet is one of my absolute, hands down, favorite frozen treats that I also feel 100% OK with letting my girls go to town on too!

The 4 Ingredients

4 Ingredient Peach Sorbet (2)
  1. Fresh Peaches - You can use frozen peaches too to enjoy this summer treat all year long!
  2. Sugar - This is a lower-sugar sorbet to really let the sweetness of the peaches shine.
  3. Freshly squeezed lemon juice - Just a touch to enhance the peach flavor.
  4. Kosher salt - just a pinch!

Can it get any easier? Nope!

Step-by-Step Instructions

Almost easier than the ingredients, how to make it.

Step 1 - Peel and freeze the peaches (see below for tips!).

Step 2 - Add the peaches to a food processor with sugar, fresh lemon juice, and just a lil' pinch of salt. (This is the one we love!)

Until it's frozen to a delightful summer treat!

It's a light, fresh, fruity, not too sweet dessert that is exactly what I want when it's super hot out. No extra ingredients except a touch of sugar and a hint of lemon to enhance the fresh peach flavor. And it's a summer treat that I love for both myself and my girls because it is absolutely delicious and healthy!

How to Peel and Pit Peaches

This is the hardest part of the whole recipe. But you could also avoid it by using already frozen peaches - that, however, would mean you'd miss out on using those fresh summer peaches!

To Peel if Ripe:

  • Cut a cross at the bottom of the peach
  • Drop peaches in a pot of boiling water for 30 seconds
  • Transfer peaches to a bowl of ice to cool
  • Once cool, use a paring knife to pull away the skin

To Peel if Unripe:

To Pit Peaches

  • Cut peach in half along the center and then give a good twist. You might have to wiggle that pit free.
  • For pits that just won't come free, you may have to use a knife and cut away the pit.

Get what you can - you may lose some flesh but it happens, just get what you can get.

FAQs

Can I use already frozen peaches?

Absolutely! It skips a step for you!

What kind of sugar can I use?

We usually use granulated sugar but you could also use raw. Brown would adjust the flavor a bit and would take away from the peach flavor, so I wouldn't use that.

Do I have to use a loaf pan?

Nope! You can use any freezer safe container.

Notes

Storage

Store the sorbet in the freezer for about a month.

Peeling Peaches

If the peaches are firm, you should be able to use a vegetable peeler to peel them. If they are soft and ripe, then use a pairing knife to cut a cross at the bottom of the peach and then drop them in boiling water for 20-30 seconds. Transfer the peaches to a bowl with ice water to cool and then once cool, the skin should peel away easily. Halve and then remove the pit.

Sugar: This is a lower-sugar sorbet recipe, you can increase the sugar up to 1 cup.

Customize: Use another fruit or add fruit to peaches!

I’m excited to try this recipe. May I substitute the sugar with stevia (granular) or maple syrup?

This is amazing! Turned out beautifully. Make sure your peaches are a little soft going in the food processor. Ours were fully frozen and didn’t start to get creamy until they melted a bit to blend it all together. Love it and so does my 8 yr old!

This turned out amazing! I agree with another commented that the peaches need to be just slightly soft. If you start the process and it is just fluffy/chunky ice give it time to melt a little and it will turn into the sorbet! trust the process it's delicious.
